This is Elijah, a pit bull cross. I've decided to start using my artwork using dogs from pitbulltalk.com to help portray bully breeds as what they are truly meant to be - a loyal and loving human loyal breed.
Got a better picture outside today! There was sun. O_O
From Eli's owner: "Elijah was born on June 16, 2003 into a litter of 11 to a mom who was 9 months old. Their owner was a guy that my sister was dating at the time. The mom ended up killing half the litter and they gave the surviving ones away except for Eli, who they kept. Once Eli was about 8 weeks old he spent the majority of his time outdoors in a filthy kennel with his mom and two other dogs. Sometimes the owner would bring him over to my house and I would watch him and take care of him. When Eli was about three months of age he contracted parvo because the owner wouldn't get him his shots. He believed they were useless and just a gimmick from the vet to get your money. Luckily Eli survived parvo and then about a month later the owner enlisted in the military and i took over care of Eli, but when the owner dropped out of the military a month later, I refused to give Eli back because I knew he would never take care of him properly and would most definitely breed him later. So Eli joined me and my crew at about 4-5 months of age. Eli is now 5 years old and very sweet. He doesn't care for toys and doesn't play much but he's still a lot of fun and he loves to go hiking and camping with me. He doesn't like other animals and having four other dogs does make it a challenge everyday but I wouldn't change it for the world, he is truly a great dog and I love him very much."
beautiful, looks like a sweety too. nice to see someone actually tried to be accurate when protraying this breed - nice to see a smiling bully for once.
Only suggestion is that the eye is a little bit dull. Maybe blend it and give it some more highlights?
lovely work!!
