Pavlov's Dog: Coconut Lime Verbena

Description

A piece done for a psychological self portrait for Life Drawing. The title is very indicative of the content. This smell always reminds me of an unpleasant time in my life in which I felt vulnerable and betrayed. Every time I smell this scent, I am reminded of this time.

This piece is one that I really like for the stylistic differences from how I usually work. I was heavily influenced by the style of artist Jiri Anderle who would do prints with a contour line drawing, choosing to emphasize and fully render certain areas that he deemed important. I really like this style and would like to continue to explore it. I don't feel like I put it to its greatest use in this piece.
